Community Business Limited (CBL) reserves the right to change the programme, speakers and/or venue without prior notice.

CBL may at our discretion cancel the conference. The conference may be cancelled in exceptional circumstances beyond our control which may include (but not be limited to) the issuing of a black rainstorm warning, act of nature or an act of terrorism which may impact the conference and attendance. If we cancel the conference, we shall refund registration fees paid. An administration cost of HK $550 will be deducted from the registration fee. This shall be the limit of our liability.

CBL is not responsible for personal injury or loss or damage to the private property of participants. Participants should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance.


What is Diversity & Inclusion in Asia 2010 Conference?
The Diversity & Inclusion in Asia Conference - now in its forth year, has distinguished itself as the primary forum for discussion on diversity issues as they relate to Asia. The theme of this yearˇ¦s conference is ˇ§Facing the Issues in Asiaˇ¨ - this conference not only seeks to examine the most discussed diversity issues in Asia, but also to highlight the more sensitive and tougher issues that are unique to the region. Through a combination of plenary and breakout sessions, delegates will be given the opportunity to hear form thought leaders, learn from the experience of leading corporations and discuss issues pertinent to the region.

When and where is the conference held?
The 2 day conference will be held on 9 and 10 November 2010 at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile in Hong Kong.

The Holiday Inn Golden Inn is located in Kowloon in Tsim Sha Tsui. It is at a distance of approximately 1 hour from the airport and estimated taxi fare is HK $300.


Who should attend the conference?
This conference is designed for senior business leaders, human resources and diversity professionals from the corporate sector. However, we also welcome participation of representatives from government, non-profit organisations, academic institutions as well as diversity consultants.

How do I register for the conference?
Registration will open in April 2010. If you would like to attend the Conference, please contact Sandy Chan at sandy@communitybusiness.org. We will send you the registration details in due course.

How much does the conference cost?
The full conference rate is HK $4,290. We are offering an Early Bird rate of HK $3,900 for any registrations that are made prior to 31 August 2010 - so delegates are encouraged to register early. Member companies of Community Business and Diversity & Inclusion in Asia Network as well as supporting organisations are eligible for a 20% discount on the prevailing rate.

What does the registration fee include?
The registration fee includes attendance at the 2 day conference, the Networking Reception at the end of Day 1, all refreshment breaks and materials distributed at the conference.

Is there a preferred rate for staying at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile?
Yes. The Holiday Inn is offering a special rate from Monday 8 November to Thursday 11 November 2010 for the participants of the Diversity & Inclusion in Asia 2010 Conference at HK $1,540 and HK $1,740 per night for the Standard Room and Deluxe Room respectively, including one daily breakfast. The rates are subject to 10% service charge.

Who should attend the Network Reception?
Anyone attending the conference is invited to attend the Network Reception. This is a chance for delegates to meet, network and share experience with other professionals who have an interest in diversity in an informal environment.

How do the Breakout Sessions work?
There are four Breakout Sessions, two on each day. Breakout sessions will be led by a moderator who will invite the two to three speakers to make a short presentation before opening the floor to a Q&A session with the audience. These sessions are designed to resemble a large group discussion and allow participants to contribute their views and experience.

What are the topics of the Breakout Sessions?
The breakout sessions will focus on the diversity strategies as well as key diversity issues in the workplace as they relate to Asia. They include: women in the workplace, culture, generation, disability as well as sexual orientation and gender identity
