ˇ§The Community Business Leadership Team (CBLT) is a networking forum for senior business leaders in Hong Kong to share best practice on CSR. We aim to be an influential body of leaders who are able to shape the development of CSR in Hong Kong by taking action and impacting change and we work to promote the adoption of responsible business practices by the wider business community in Hong Kong.

Which is why, for the third year running, we are pleased to promote Work-Life Balance Day, taking place on Friday 22 October 2010. The purpose of Work-Life Balance Day is to raise awareness of work-life balance as a business issue and to encourage companies to demonstrate their commitment by holding some kind of work-life balance initiative on that day. Sign up now!

Last yearˇ¦s event was a resounding success with more than 120 companies participating. We hope to make this yearˇ¦s event bigger and better. There are many ways to participate ˇV I encourage you to take a look at this website and Community Businessˇ¦ publication, Work-Life Balance: The Guide for ideas.

The CBLT is also delighted to sponsor the fifth representative survey (conducted by the Public Opinion Programme at The University of Hong Kong), looking at the state of work-life balance in Hong Kong which will be published on 19 October 2010.

In the competitive markets we operate in, our companies rely - more than ever, on a healthy, productive and engaged workforce. As Chair of the CBLT, I urge as many companies as possible to join our mission of improving the state of work-life balance in Hong Kong ˇV for the benefit of our economy, our society and for us all as individuals.ˇ¨
