Session Focus

Increasing the representation of women in the workplace is at the heart of every company’s diversity and inclusion strategy. Yet despite concerted corporate efforts and investment, we do not see women equally represented at the top of most organisations in Asia. Most corporate programmes seem to have overlooked the fundamental role that women’s health and wellbeing plays.

Significant issues impact women, hindering them from reaching their full potential at work and negatively impacting their mental health and wellbeing. Challenges related to reproductive health and gynaecological conditions to the fatigue of care responsibilities and even domestic abuse are rarely discussed, particularly in Asia.

In this session, we explore this topic, highlighting why a targeted focus on women’s wellbeing should be a vital component of a company’s employee wellbeing strategy. We will also have Dr. Vinika Rao, Executive Director at INSEAD Gender Initiative & Emerging Markets Institute, present findings from their latest research on what the post-pandemic recovery looks like for women in the workplace:

  • Opportunity for peer learning and sharing through facilitated discussion
  • Discuss the intersection between wellbeing and its impact on gender inclusion
  • What the post-pandemic recovery looks like for women in the workplace
  • Recommendations on gender-inclusive solutions and implications on wellbeing in the workplace
