Description

Building trust is one of the most important things that will determine the success in any workplace.  As a manager or business owner, do you think that you understand what your employees want and expect from their workplace?  Good wages, job security, promotion/growth opportunities, and appreciation for work done are all expected, but these are more traditional or "hygiene" factors. Nowadays, employees of all generations have changing expectations around flexibility, work-life balance, benefits, a diverse and inclusive culture, and other factors that influence whether they stay with an organisation.  Employees and managers may not all be on the same page when it comes to workplace satisfaction, and building trust is critical to a happy, engaged workplace.

In this Community Investment Forum, participants will learn from experts in PR and communications, digital marketing, recruitment and more about what employees value and how leading companies are responding in innovative ways to create a great employee experience. We will also share the results of the 2017 Edelman Trust Barometer (with Hong Kong specific findings) and see how trust in leaders has plummeted to an all-time low, and why it is important to build trust from within an organisation.  Participants will also learn how one high-performing company offers an unlimited annual leave policy while keeping their employees productive and engaged.

Key Takeaways:

  • Learn about the results of the latest Edelman Trust Barometer, especially on the trends in what matters to employees globally and in Hong Kong
  • Acquire practical and useful advice for companies to attract, engage, and retain quality workforce
  • Equip yourself with essential understanding of latest developments in building trust between employers and employees
