Description

How does hearing loss affect a person? People with hearing loss are often presented with fewer educational and job opportunities. As a result they can face social withdrawal due to reduced access to services, difficulties communicating with others, and emotional problems caused by a drop in self-esteem and confidence.

Sign is a live-action role-playing (LARP) game based on the true story of a language born in modern times from the hands of children. Understand what the first day of school for a deaf child feels like, learning to communicate through play. What happens when speech, something that most of us are used to and have taken for granted, is taken away from us? How difficult is it to communicate your thoughts and feelings? And how do you ultimately rise above these challenges? In Sign we'll be exploring all of this - and more.

* To experience the full immersion activity, we ask that you be on time for this session.
