Physical Wellbeing is about encouraging employees to make positive lifestyle choices that promote physical health. Activities such as regular exercise, healthy nutrition and quality sleep are critical to long-term health, energy levels and performance.

 

To view this programme of webinars your company needs to have access to our Virtual Platform by being a registered subscriber of Asia Employee Wellbeing Link.  The annual subscription fee is US $500.  In 2020 this fee is waived for DIAN and DIAN India members.

Madi is a professional movement coach trained in sports rehabilitation, yoga and animal flow for injury prevention. Having suffered extensive injuries during her dance career, Madi has a driving passion to educate body awareness through a holistic approach. Her goal-centered strategy focuses on pain prevention, alignment and body awareness for athletic performance. Madi's belief in the power of superfoods paired with a ground-based movement series has transformed her ability to move injury-free.

Viv Kan

Vivian Kan is a Corporate Wellness Coach & 500RYT-qualified yoga instructor. She focuses on Sleep, Stress, Mindfulness and Mental Health programs to improve workplace wellbeing. Formerly a Manager at HSBC, Viv now helps employees perform at their highest potential and prevent burnout. She has obtained certifications in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness Life Coaching, and Mental Health First Aid. Recently, she became qualified in The Science of Well-Being from Yale University.

Rashida Vapiwala

Rashida holds a Master’s degree in Foods, Nutrition & Dietetics and a PhD scholar, studying the current scenario of the packaged food & beverage industry and consumer behaviour.  Awarded the Junior Research Fellowship by the University Grants Commission, India and the Dr K.U.Naram award for a distinguished performance in academics at post-graduate level, Rashida has been felicitated with respectable certifications, like Micronutrient and Food Fortification Training Program – Project Healthy Children (PHC) & Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), USA, Nutrition & Chronic Disease Research Methods - Centre for Chronic Disease Control & PHFI, Nutrigenomic Counsellor - DNALife, South Africa and Genombio Technologies Pvt Ltd., Pune, Nutrition Research Methods - St. John’s Research Institute, Bangalore, India in collaboration with Harvard University, USA and Tufts University, USA. Rashida works with Government agencies, like FSSAI, Corporates, Entrepreneurs, and Leading Nutritionists on subjects of Food and Nutrition and its impact on Consumer Health and Wellness.

Dr. Ramesh Pattni, DPhil (Oxford) OBE

Dr. Ramesh Pattni is a psychologist and a Hindu theologian whose research is in the intersection of these traditions. He has deep interest in presenting the psychological concepts, tools and techniques of the ancient traditions in today’s world for mental well-being. He obtained a doctorate from the University of Oxford, Faculty of Theology and Religion, based on his research into Patanjali’s text on Classical Yoga – the Yogasūtra and Western Positive Psychology, comparing the phenomenology of Flow and altered states of consciousness experienced in the meditation of Samadhi. He also has three master’s degrees in psychology, psychology of religion, and study of religion. He has extensively lectured and conducted workshops and retreats on diverse subjects over the past two decades in Yoga and the Non-Dual (Advaita Vedanta) traditions. He holds or has held many public positions, including, Vice President of Chinmaya Mission UK, Vice President of Hindu Forum of Britain and Co-Chair of the Hindu Christian Forum and serving the wider community in the UK. For his voluntary work in interfaith relations and community services in the UK, he was bestowed an OBE in the New Years Honours 2020 by Her Majesty the Queen.
