Alisha Fernando is the head of diversity and inclusion (D&I) across Asia Pacific at Bloomberg. Based in Hong Kong, Alisha is responsible for overseeing the diversity and inclusion strategy with a strong focus on delivering programs and initiatives that support enterprise-wide D&I goals and regional priorities to drive change across the organisation.

Amisha Rathod

Senior Director Associate Relations & Compliance, Marriott International

Amisha has been with Marriott International for 6 years and is currently the Senior Director of Associate Relations & Compliance and leads Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Asia Pacific. In her various roles, Amisha has been instrumental in guiding associate relations matters, maintaining a positive and safe workplace for all, and training and developing HR Leaders in associate relations and compliance. Her leadership, guidance and professionalism have earned recognition and appreciation from her stakeholders, peers and the HR community.

Chris Mack

Programme Manager, Employee Wellbeing

Chris is the Programme Manager at Community Business, managing our Wellbeing portfolio. He is in charge of creating a holistic wellbeing offering for our clients with a focus on solutions that are created with the 'Whole Person' Model in mind. Through his work, the programme will identify wellbeing priorities for clients and align them with ESG and United Nations Sustainability Development Goals to ensure greater impact. 

Prior to Community Business, Chris worked as a Senior Practitioner and Team Leader at an online mental health service that focused on building and managing a team of mental health practitioners who are responsible for supporting clients all over the UK. He has also spent the last 10 years working and training within the mental health sector working with local government in the UK to further develop support for young people. Chris has also worked in non-profit organisations focusing on building small to medium size enterprises, helping many business owners improve their workforce and achieve their business goals. 

Chris has a Masters in Psychology and specialises in Behaviour Change with a specific focus on Motivational Interviewing and Functional Imagery Training. Chris is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider, the first responder in the workplace to any mental health needs as well as a Level 4 Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) responsible for working collaboratively with practitioners to ensure risk and safeguarding procedures are followed. He has also worked at the standard of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 5 in Leadership and Management from his time in the British Army. Chris’s pronouns are He/Him. 

Dimuthu de Silva

Director of DE&I, Community Business

Dimuthu de Silva is the Senior Manager, Consulting & Training at Community Business. He is responsible for consulting, training design and delivery, client relationship management and the daily operations of the C&T team. Prior to joining Community Business, Dimuthu was a consultant in Learning & Development and HR, with over twelve years in banking, financial technology, KPO and BPO, hotels & tourism and education industries. He has experience in end-to-end learning design and delivery, HR systems delivery, general consultancy and policy development around people, culture and organisational development. He is also an active researcher of social inclusion, representation and participation of marginalised communities and speaks at conferences and forums frequently. Dimuthu was born and raised in Sri Lanka and completed his higher education in Malaysia. He has worked in Sri Lanka and the South Asian and APAC region on assignments. Dimuthu has an MBA in International Business from Anglia Ruskin University, MSc in International Development Management from University of Nottingham and is a certified TESOL/TEFL trainer. He is also an accredited DiSC trainer from Wiley and Sons, USA. Dimuthu is fluent in English and Sinhala.

Katie Potter

2021 Asia Employee Wellbeing Award Winner (Financial Wellbeing Award)

Head of Wellness - APAC, Goldman Sachs

Katie is Head of Wellness for APAC at Goldman Sachs. She has over 13 years of experience in the employee benefits and wellness industry, starting as a benefits consultant in London and moving to Hong Kong 9 years ago. Her previous roles included healthcare consulting, brokerage and implementation covering EMEA and APAC. She joined Goldman Sachs in APAC in November 2017 with a particular focus on health insurance and wellness. She is passionate about resilience and mental wellbeing and how this relates to workplace wellbeing. She holds an MA (Hons) from University of St Andrews.

Sam Lau

CEO, Total Loyalty Company Limited

Sam Lau is an entrepreneur and thought leader in the area of corporate wellness and employee engagement. Based in Hong Kong, he is the founder of Total Loyalty Company (www.totalloyalty.hk), an HR agency that specialises in helping companies of all sizes create happy and healthy workplaces. Sam was born in Hong Kong, and after 10 years of corporate life with Shell Australia, started his Australian business in 1995 around employee engagement before returning to Hong Kong in 2010 to start Total Loyalty Company, building it to now servicing 450,000+ members and growing. Sam is an active Rotarian and also sits on the board of Fair Employment Agency, a domestic helper recruitment agency that focuses on the ethical hiring and treatment of domestic helpers in Hong Kong. Socially, Sam loves enjoying the outdoors when possible in Hong Kong, with regular hikes and tennis games. Also, like most people in Hong Kong – he loves trying out the wide range of restaurants on offer here!

Sangeetha Kamani Dharmasekara

Deputy General Manager - Human Resources Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC (Hayleys PLC) - Sri Lanka

Sangeetha Kamani Dharmasekara has 30 years of experience in Talawakelle Tea Estate PLC, Sri Lanka.  Currently she is working as the Deputy General Manager - Human Resources and responsible for the Administrative and Human Resources Activities in the Organization. She specially closely coordinates and assists in operationalizing the Human Resource Development Activities and Programs with the 16 Estates in the Organization. She further provides technical and other strategic inputs to the Regional HRD Staff who are engaged in the Social Welfare, Medical and Human Resource Development Activities in the Estates. 

She also facilitates many training sessions for the employees on Wellbeing of the Estate Community, Safeguarding & Ensuring Child Protection, Work Place Cooperation, Effective Communication, Team work and Importance of Team Building, etc…  

She completed her Masters in Human Resource Management (MHRM) at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka and obtained the Professional Qualification in Human Resource Management (PQHRM) from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka (CIPM).  She is also a Chartered Member of the CIPM.  

Subramaniyam Ramar

Senior Manager - Human Resource Development, Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC (Hayleys PLC) - Sri Lanka

Mr Subramaniyam Ramar has graduated his Masters in Development & Public Policy at the Open University of Sri Lanka and also, he holds a BA degree in the field of Social sciences. He has over 22 years of experience in community development and human resource development sector holding several grassroots level and managerial positions in the Regional Plantation Companies and NGOs/INGOs. He also completed many diploma programs in Sri Lanka and India in different disciplines such as community development, project management, community mobilization, community driven leadership, empowering Estate Workers Housing & Cooperative Society, human resource development, gender diversity, micro finance, community development and so on. He has participated in a couple of trainings in India as a participant as well as resource person.
