Description

Creating a culture of inclusion within workplaces is constantly developing and in today’s environment it also relates to how family structures have transformed and broadened. It becomes fundamental for organisations and professionals to understand various definitions of family structures and nuances of Rainbow Families.

This India public workshop, sponsored by Wells Fargo will focus on demystifying concepts of family structures and hear lived experiences through the lens of Pride inclusion. It will also highlight how organisations can enable and support Rainbow Families in India.

We look forward to seeing you at this virtual workshop on the 26th of June!

I am Sougata Basu, I am a cis gendered gay man (pronouns: he/him/his). I am a Bengali boy born and brought up in Jamshedpur and settled in Bangalore for the last more than a decade. Professionally, I head one of the business units of a reputed e-commerce retailer.

On the personal front, I am partnered and we (Mayank and I) are together for the last 11 years. We are also fathers to two dog babies (a lab and an indie) and two human babies (born out of surrogacy before the surrogacy laws of the country changed). Last year, we also got ceremonially married in the presence of our parents, immediate families and friends. We live and love Bangalore with our four babies and our parents (both our parents live with us).
Our home is a very regular household of parents, babies, grandparents, house helps and is very very full of love!
