Standard Chartered Bank: Women on Corporate Boards in India 2010 Report

This report looks at the representation of female directors on the corporate boards of India’s top one hundred companies as listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE-100).  It is the second study of its kind in Asia and follows the publication of the Hong Kong report, Women on Boards: Hang Seng Index 2009 which was also supported by Standard Chartered Bank and published in November 2009.  Like the Hong Kong study, this research adopts the robust methodology of the renowned Female FTSE, conducted for over a decade in the UK by Cranfield School of Management, and is supported by in-depth interviews with female directors on the boards of these companies.
