Gay Games 11 Hong Kong 2023 (GGHK), the inaugural Gay Games event in Asia, has today provided significant updates on the progress and preparations for the event, scheduled to run from November 3 to 11, 2023.
Lisa Lam, the co-chair of GGHK, expressed her excitement about the imminent commencement of the games, which is now less than 100 days away. "The entire GGHK team is thrilled to share these crucial updates on our readiness and planning for Gay Games 11 Hong Kong 2023. We have successfully secured all necessary venues and are in the process of engaging exceptional performers to ensure this event is memorable and inclusive for all attendees," she said.
Lam also introduced Sunny the Lion, the official mascot for the games. "Sunny symbolizes the qualities of resilience and determination that we aim to highlight and disseminate globally. Sunny will serve as our guide and companion throughout the games, inspiring us to transform seeming impossibilities into realities," she added.
Lam concluded by extending an invitation to everyone, "Join us in November 2023 for a grand celebration that will showcase sports, arts, culture, and diversity."
