We invite organisations in Asia to use Asia Employee Wellbeing Week from 5 - 9 October 2020 as a platform to raise awareness, educate and motivate action around employee wellbeing in your company – wherever you operate in Asia.

Since 2008, Community Business has been promoting Asia Employee Wellbeing Week* - providing a platform to raise awareness, educate and motivate action around employee wellbeing.  In 2020 Asia Employee Wellbeing Week takes place from Monday 5 October to Friday 9 October 2020.   

We encourage all companies who care about the wellbeing of their employees, to incorporate this important event into their calendar and to register as a Participating Employer.  

*Until 2018, known as Work-Life Balance Week. 


Why a Focus on Employee Wellbeing?

Research highlights a direct link between employee wellbeing, productivity and performance. Employers who invest in their employee’s wellbeing reap a range of profit-boosting benefits -  from higher engagement levels on the one side, to reduced costs associated with absenteeism and attrition on the other. Responsible businesses put employee wellbeing at the heart of their people strategy - because beyond the business case, ultimately our organisations are about people, and we have a duty of care to ensure our employees are happy, healthy and engaged.

We encourage you to start planning your activities early.  If you’re looking for inspiration, here are 8 ideas of what your company can do to promote employee wellbeing and get directly involved in 2019 Asia Employee Wellbeing Week:    


1. Register to become a Participating Employer.
We’ll feature your corporate logo on our website – raising the profile of your commitment to employee wellbeing and positioning you as an employer of choice.

2. Subscribe to our Virtual Platform
In 2018, we launched a brand new Virtual Platform full of tools and resources designed to inform your employee wellbeing strategy – both in the short and long term. In 2020, we’re continuing to enhance this platform, making it available all year round and refreshing the content on a quarterly basis. If your company is a DIAN or DIAN member you can gain unlimited access for free.  If not, our Asia Employee Wellbeing Link package offers a whole host of benefits – including access to the Virtual Platform for just US $500.  Contact Community Business for more information.  

3. Participate in external Wellbeing Events
Browse the Asia Employee Wellbeing Week Calendar and discover the wide range of events that are taking place across the region. Plan ahead and encourage your employees to attend these in-person events during 5-9 October 2020. 

4. Encourage your employees to attend our Emotional Wellbeing LIVE! Day.
Taking place on Friday 9 October via the Virtual Platform, this virtual event comprises a programme of webinars by leading experts on different aspects of emotional wellbeing, including: happiness, resilience and mental health.

5. Organise your own employee wellbeing event in Asia

6. Promote the Green Ribbon campaign to your employees​.
Raise awareness of mental health in the workplace in Asia. 7. Share an interesting video or TEDTalk related to Employee Wellbeing​.
We’ve come up with a list of video suggestions designed to increase understanding and spark conversation and posted them in the Resource Centre of the Virtual Platform.
